PCMag Ranks Optimum Fiber as the Best ISP in the Middle Atlantic Division for 2024

The technology-based journalistic powerhouse PCMag recently released its list of the Best Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the USA for 2024 and has named Optimum Fiber as the best and fastest Internet provider in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania (Middle Atlantic division).

Ookla*, the platform used to run the SpeedtestⓇ from which PCMag gathers its speed data for scoring, also named Optimum Fiber as having the fastest and most reliable Internet speeds in New York and New Jersey. Additionally, Optimum Fiber was identified as having the lowest latency across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Ookla named Optimum Fiber as providing the best gaming experience across New York and for being the fastest Internet provider in Litchfield County, Connecticut.

There are many factors that go into Optimum Fiber winning these titles, but most notable was the blazingly fast speeds. In fact, according to PCMag, Verizon FIOS was the overall winner for the Middle Atlantic division in 2023, but "the speed rating from Optimum's Fiber service helped push the Altice-owned ISP to the top." Each of the factors that PCMag evaluated were, in their words "enough to slot Optimum ahead of Fios, Xfinity, T-Mobile 5G Home, and Astound Broadband." Additionally, Optimum Fiber earned a perfect '10' score for speed based on the PCMag Speed Index and a median Download Speed of 394.9Mbps.
